Hillary Clinton backs South Korea as North cuts ties with neighbor
North Korea has announced it will cut all ties, including trade, with the South. Pyongyang claims the move is in retaliation for what it calls a ‘smear campaign’ over the sinking of a Southern warship in March. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is in the region to discuss the row, has called the sinking of the ship an “unacceptable provocation by North Korea”.

@chasingsecrets and i dont think you get my point. they did more then just show the thing. they checked out the parts and concluded its within line of how they make the torpedo’s in north korea. now ya you can just assume they are lieing but again my point is you need proof of them lieing. also i dont think conspiracy theorist are nutty (unless you think 9/11 was done by aliens type of stuff) i just notice that they almost never have anything to back up the claim other then “they are lieing”.

They jailed their own citizens for a number of reasons (political, religious, etc.)
They attacked UNC forces trimming a tree on the DMZ
They tried, twice, to assassinate the president of South Korea
The blew up a South Korean airliner
The send spies (often young female adults) to spy on both military and civilians in South Korea
This conflict has been going on for over 50 years, enough with the “conspiracy theory” crap.

@chasingsecrets The problem started with the Clinton administration. Due to misplaced trust by the Clinton administration and the collapse of the Soviet Union, human rights in North Korea deteriorated at a faster rate. Bush went a step further and removed North Korea from the State Sponsor of Terrorism list in return for a promise to disarm. Unless China were to enter into an armed conflict, a new Korean War would be unlikely to escalate to a global level.

@LastRussianEmporer I would normally agree with you but the fact if that the reason the US is screwed up right now if because of the long dragged on war with the middle east, now if there were to be another Korean war the US would Supply the south however if South K ask for help the US is obligated to go into war the problem is that what if China would again help North K?

I think recent history has shown the effect of American foreign policy. Hilary talks big, but does she mention that there are people involved in this? If the US gets heavily involved innocent people will to die.
My grandfather faught in the Korean war. His ship was hit by a torpedo. It made him insane, but he wouldn’t have survived if it weren’t for local fishermen.
