Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton lead One America News Network national poll

Real estate mogul Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton remained in the lead Friday in the latest national poll byOne America News Network (OAN).

The poll shows Mr. Trump with 30.8 percent support among Republican voters, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 13.3 percent in second place. The rest of the top five 2016 GOP presidential candidates show Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at 12.5 percent, former neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 6.1 percent and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 5.6 percent.

Trailing in 16th or last place is former New York Gov. George Pataki at 0.2 percent.

On the Democratic side, Mrs. Clinton leads at 54.9 percent. Her closest challenger is Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vermont Independent, at 18.4 percent. Strikingly, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat who has not declared that she is running, comes in third at 9 percent. Rounding out the top five are Vice President Joseph R. Biden at 8 percent in fourth place and former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb at 5.1 percent in fifth place.

Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee comes in last, or seventh place, at 1.8 percent.

“Donald Trump’s strong showing in this recent national poll is consistent with what we’ve been seeing in the state polls,” Robert Herring Sr., chief executive officer of One America News Network, in a statement. “He’s clearly been attracting strong interest from Republicans across the country. The Democratic poll results are clear. At best it’s a two candidate race at this point. Based upon the poll results, it looks like Hillary Clinton will secure the Democratic nomination, unless there is some sort of blow up or a surprise surge by an announced, or unannounced candidate.”

Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted the random survey of 1,535 registered voters — with 732 Republicans and 803 Democrats — on July 29. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 percent.
