Arlen Specter Elections Results Not The Ones He Wanted
The Pennsylvania election results for the mid-term primaries are in, and the Arlen Specter election results were of great interest. Last year, Arlen Specter switched to the Democrats after decades as a Republican. Some took it as a stab in the back, and others believed it was because Republicans had gotten too fanatical to keep moderates in the fold. It was suggested he had done it because he wouldn’t win re-election, and that proved true. Despite how much quick cash he may have had in campaign coffers, it wasn’t enough.

Arlen Specter election results unseat him
There has been something of a wave of anti-establishment mentalities lately, and this translates to a lot of incumbent office holders getting shown the door. The Arlen Specter election results certainly speak to that, as Rep Joe Sestak has won the Democratic primary and a 30 year Senate career comes to an end.
More on the horizon
Right now, we’re only in primary season. Sestak, despite winning the Democratic primary, still has the final Pennsylvania election results to get through before he is installed as a senator. His challenger is Republican Pat Toomey. Apparently, Democrat leadership had toyed with Sestak about whether to run against Specter, according to CNN, and he decided to run anyway, which netted positive results.
Incumbents are all under fire
This year seems to be about new beginnings. Understandably, a lot of people aren’t happy with the job government is doing and want new people in. Other primary results show the same. Rand Paul, son of famous Representative Ron Paul, defeated the Kentucky Secretary of State Ted Grayson in the Kentucky Republican primary. Grayson was endorsed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, but that wasn’t enough to keep the progeny of the famous Libertarian off the ballot. The Lt Gov of Arkansas, Bill Halter, is heading for a second round of elections showdown in the Democratic primary with incumbent Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln.
